also is this meant to be more on the fun "oh the ghosts actually aren't that dangerous but are pretty cool" side or is it more "oh these ghosts are lowkey homicidal oh no danger" because my character definitely will change based on that answer

A human would definitely be preferred! I would probably say that the humans will be a mix between the two types you explained, so whichever one you want is fine by me!

And as for you, @EtherealGarbage (love that username btw), I will gladly let you in! Would you like to be a human or a ghost?

I'll probably go human then. Just off the top of my head I'll probably slot them into the "knows a lot about ghosts they googled, thinks they're prepared for the real deal because of their research, but actually isn't and is basically useless in an actual bad scenario" niche (if that makes any sense rip)
