He pulled off his slipper. There was a spot of blood on the bandages covering his stubs. He cringed again. For as much blood as he drew from Ky and Tadaaki you'd think he'd be used to it, but seeing his own blood put a bitter taste in his mouth.

Aleth hesitated. His pride certainly didn't want one. But, he supposed it would make him look less threatening. And would give him the semblance of a weapon -- not that it'd be particularly efficient. But, most of all, it would give the appearance of Aleth taking Ash's suggestion. So, he inclined his head, "If you think that's best."

"I think for now it would do you good not to put too much weight on that foot. Wait one moment." She disappeared into her office and returned with a simple wooden cane, which had a simple crook at the top to serve as a handle. "See if this suits you."

Aleth took it and stood back up, leaning his weight against the cane. It would be an adjustment to walk with for sure, but he could already feel it being easier to stand using it than before. He nodded. "This will do fine, thank you."
