(Hmmm I dunno lol we could go back to Aleth and Ash… or could be fun to eventually have a less tense convo between Ky and Arthur where Loquitur gets his wish of knowing Arthur’s reputation lol. I don’t really care. Do you have a preference?)

Ky was still uneasy to be in the same household as Isya, and half expected him to murder someone and disappear. But as the days began to stretch on she decided that he had had more than ample opportunity to kill her or Loquitur or anyone else and slowly started to trust that he wasn’t there to cause trouble. Though she was doing her best to avoid him.
But she’d been sitting reading a book when Loquitur and Isya walked in, and it seemed rude to leave, so she sat trying to control the anxiety bubbling up in her at being so near to him.
(Is that okay? I can edit if you don’t want them both there/don’t want them to come in together, wasn’t sure how to set this up)

"I still can't believe he agreed to it," Tomhas was saying as he entered with Arthur. Arthur chuckled tolerantly, nodding slightly. "It certainly doesn't sound like something he'd do, and not for just seventy thousand clappers. I'd expect a hundred thousand or more would persuade him." "That's another thing!" Tomhas pointed a long finger at Arthur. "You know him, you've spoken with him, and yet it was Arianna that recommended him to me. How'd that come to be?"

Ky scrambled to her feet and bowed slightly as they entered. She didn’t want to eavesdrop but at the same time she was desperately curious to know what they were talking about. Aleth? Had he made it?

Tomhas's head jerked in his direction, and he grinned. "Oh, hello Ky! How are you this fine afternoon?" Arthur stood beside him, watching Ky passively.
(How long after Aleth and Pratik's arrival do you think this would be?)

(I assume this is all happening about the same time? A few days? That would keep things easy lol)
Ky eyed Isya, then turned her gaze towards Loquitur and forced a smile. “Well, sir! And you?”

"Quite well, quite well. I hope we haven't disturbed you!" Tomhas looked toward the door. "We can discuss things elsewhere if we have, can't we, Arthur?" "Simply enough," Arthur agreed.

“Not at all, sir!” Ky answered quickly. She was never going to get used to Loquitur’s level of consideration. “I welcome the company! …. Or I can go. Whatever you’d prefer I’d be happy with. Sir.”

"We weren't talking about anything particularly important, we can head to the back of the library so as not to bother you." Tomhas tapped his cousin's shoulder. "We'll leave you to your book." Arthur dipped his head slightly; his good eye stayed fixed on Ky as the pair moved off toward a corner of the library.

“Yes, sir!” Her curiosity got the better or her. “Is—?” She cut herself off. It wasn’t her place to question things. She bit her lip and looked at the ground.

“Sorry, sir,” Ky said quickly, flushing with embarrassment that she’d slipped up. “I just… was wondering if… he… made it?”
If he was still alive. If he was finding a way to retaliate.

"Oh, I have no idea." Tomhas shook his head. "We won't know until he writes a letter, and gods know how long from now that will be."

“Oh.” That made sense. “Yes, sir, that makes sense. Thank you.”
