Srinagar, is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian-administered union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is known for its natural environment, gardens, waterfronts and houseboats.
I love the way you use poetic style writing to describe your personal experience of that old city. Even without the internet describing the city to me I could imagine it.... from your words. I could feel the way you feel about this city. To me it's like Mombai when I first approached it for work as a purchasing official - I smelled it! It's like you take it in long before you actually set foot in the city.
