Wow, I completely forgot this forum even existed. Well, let's see...

As far as I can remember, I've been writing since I was eight and drawing lines on construction paper because I didn't have a notebook. Much of that awfulness has been destroyed now, although I did preserve some for the sake of retrospective cuteness. :) In the interest of mostly-full disclosure, I will admit to being a procrastinator, a perfectionist, and often using words whose meanings I have only a vague idea of. Oh, and I tend to be careless about grammar, except when it's someone else's.

I answer to several different names, but Sage is my favorite thus far, and I'd like to stick with that. I'm homeschooled, I have five siblings, and I'm learning to drive, which should make my writing about near-death experiences MUCH more believable. I love writing the way a lactose-intolerant person loves ice cream...I know perfectly well that it will kill me someday, but in the meantime, I intend to enjoy it. I'm a terrible perfectionist, as aforementioned, which is why I've posted next to nothing. I'm working on that, though. (With much subtle and not-so-subtle prodding from Gyr.)

Still reading? Very well; I shall continue.
Given my own way, I spend much of my time daydreaming about and talking to people who don't exist. My favorite parts of a story are making it up, defining the scope, and editing afterwards. It's that nasty little writing bit that kind of gets me. When I'm not doing that, I like reading (a LOT), acting, playing violin, listening to music, singing (a bit), and hanging out with friends (of which Gyr and Shafter are two, for those who may not have figured it out).

Let's see...what else? Can't think of much that's really relevant. Random Sageish Fact: unless I am really and truly inspired and focused, I need noise when I'm writing. Preferably people noise, but most kinds of music will do, preferably with no lyrics/lyrics not in English or Spanish/lyrics I already know by heart.

At the moment, I am much too tired to try and put up any kind of an accurate sampling of my reading, listening, or watching preferences, but I invite anyone who cares to PM me. Sage likes PMs!

Hey, Ani! I don't think we've been properly introduced; pleasure to meet you.
My sig's from The Princess Bride, the part of the movie when the Grandfather is getting ready to tell the sick kid a story, but it's a fairy tale, and the kid is pretending to be all macho and not interested;) That kid always reminded me of my brother.

Yay! Sage's bio is on YWS! And I've posted on it. Hah.
Please don't die when you're learning to drive. Danielle would kill you if you died and left your intern group unattended...
Do you have any clue what "mascoschist" means? Snoink used it to describe my opinion of my writing, and I have no clue what it means.
I WANT TO VOTE!!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired today. Those are my random thoughts. I'm going on a walk now.

Cheers! ;) ~Shafter

P.S. Yes, Sage, why DON'T you post more? You know I don't like my writing too much, and look at me... *rambling tirade* ;)

Dahling!
Yay, one more place where I can come and bug you about posting more! Not much to say, I'm afraid--nothing that you don't already know, at any rate.
Have fun, see you over Thanksgiving!

You use a lot of long words Sage! ^^

I love the title of this first off - it's very mysterious and just plain super - and you seem to match that. Five siblings? Sheesh, and I thought having two was annoying.

I've been writing for a while too, most of my pieces are in scraggly notebooks that are even covered in felt tip pen or pencil sharpenings. But I've kept them all 'cause I think; in thirty year's time, I'll find these and realise how lame I was.

I daydream too much I think. I'll be out with friends and someone will say something to me and then five seconds later, I'll say exactly what they've just said or pointed out because I was too busy staring into space to listen.

Everyone plays violin on here?!

Quite a lot of people are bi-lingual too. I wish I could speak another language to be honest. It would be handy for when I want to say something so that others don;t understand. Like a complex version of gibberish. Everr head of that?

Anyhoo, nice to meet you.

Hi!

You've convinced me; I shall call you Sage.

Actually, that's a cool name. Herbish.

And, learning to drive! Sounds like death-defying fun! (I know.. my sister and my friend are starting to learn, and I dread the day I go on a real drive with them...)

So. Do you like potatoes? How about potato salad? Or just salad?

Peace, love, chocolate,
Muffin

Ummm...I like potatoes. And salad. And certain kinds of potato salad.
What about you? What are your feelings on pocket knives?
