I would just take the oval off, if I were you.

Very regal... I like his whiskers.

I actually like the cat in the oval, it reminds me of Victorian portraits. The cat looks quite shocked, as if you'd taken a picture of it but it is cute!

That's cute! She looks kind of angery, though.

If you were going to change it, I'd try to make the ears a little more 3-D looking. This could be done, I think, with a line on the ears to make them look like they're not facing directly at the oval. Which I like. *See picture.

Also, I think she needs some more definition around her snout area, maybe some shading by my green line? And nostrels too.

These are just sugestions, it looks great.
