Oh my...

He put it on, smiling a bit. He decided to look more into Revenge’s envelope, too, and found a small ring. Nothing too expensive, just one topaz on it. But it still looked kind of pretty, at least in Janus’s opinion.

Another knock was heard, and Patton turned to look. No one moved, and the room was silent. Cautiously, Patton went to open the door, just as another, louder knock was heard. He opened it, and to Patton's surprise, Violence stood in the doorway, holding a handmade card. He handed it to Patton, giving him a pat on the head that was just a liiiittle too hard. Violence closed the door, and Patton turned around to face the group, his expression basically saying 'What the heck just happened'.

The card was actually heartfelt. No tricks or threats. Just a nice card. ...But there was no gift. It doesn't really matter though, it's the thought that counts.
