Which colour of the famous red/green colour combo is more suitable for Christmas?
I had this random thought, and I want to see what people think and see if I can stir up a debate!

Here are my thoughts:
Red: Colour of Santa, Cranberries, Pointsetiias, holly berries, christmas baubles, etc.
Green: Most elves? Christmas tree, holly, mistletoe, etc.

What do you think?
My thoughts are thoroughly indigestible.

Green.

Evergreens and plantlife ----> Decorative Displays of Life and hope. (Christmas is a celebration of life.)

Red, just so that it's a tie. :3
Dumbledore: "Now, it's great that you've been saving the school and all Harry, but unfortunately your grades have been a tad low, and, well... perhaps Gandalf could explain it better... hit it, Gandalf!

Gandalf: "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

My birthday is Christmas day and for most of my life red & green were my fave colors because of their association with Christmas among other things ~ but I think I'd actually go with white for the answer here if one color must be picked.

White is the long agreed upon liturgical color for Christmas (you'll find this in Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopal, Reformed, Methodist and Orthodox churches - we all agree here - which isn't always the case for worship technicalities) & goes with snow, purity & holiness, stars, angels, heavens, candles, new life etc. so I'll go with that as the official color of Christmas!

There's some fascinating articles online that say "red & green" became Christmas' official colors because of Coca Cola adverts lol in addition to the prominence of Holly used in Celtic winter celebrations. So in my mind one couldn't say "red" in a Christmas color or "green" is a Christmas color @_@ it's "red & green"... and even then "red and green" are more "Commercial or Cultural Christmas" colors than ones with religious / festival significance.
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

Most of Commercial Christmas culture is due to the Celts...

Green = Nature. (Christmas tree.)

Red = Blood. (Wine = Jesus’ blood.)

Really depends on how religious you are…
