Remus had always felt second best compared to his brother, Roman. His parents certainly thought so. Roman always got everything he wanted, but his parents had a short temper when it came to him. Not to mention, his brother being considered cool and popular while he was considered weird. Remus figured that he was gonna get slapped by his soulmate. Great, yet another person who’d prefer Roman... naturally, he’d been hiding it with foundation. He was just trudging through school one day, when he tripped over something and fell right in front of some new boy with a yellow sweatshirt on.

Janus was kinda just walking through the halls, it was his first day at a new school and he wasn't expecting it to go very well. He figured he already ed up when someone tripped over his brand new white air force 1s that he got just because he could. He looked down at the person that had tripped over his shoes. Janus was a little concerned for him, cuz the floor hurts. He knelt down next to him, gently cupping his face with one hand

"Are you okay?"

Janus was not expecting this. Especially not today. He forgot all about his white shoes that were kind of not white anymore. He didn't know what to say.

"Um..hi?"

A smile slowly spread across Remus’s face. He placed his hand over Janus’s.

“I’m Remus... I’ve been wanting to meet you for so long...”

Janus smiled, he didn't care that they were probably gonna be late for class, or that his shoes were dirty. He just met his darn soulmate.

"I'm Janus..I never thought we'd actually meet.."

“Me neither..! Heh, I figured you were gonna slap me or something, I always hid my soulmate mark because of it... that and it looked kinda ugly...”

"Why would I slap someone I just met and am apparently supposed to spend my life with?"

“I dunno..? I mean, doesn’t family do it?”
