OK, sound and I collabed and posted! We discussed a bit in the WFP so I'm going to sum it up here:
First of all, I picked out cars for all the 1943 characters. - Dr. Sommers' Car: LINK - Rosemary Sommers' Car: LINK - Dewey and Irene Sommers' Car: LINK
Secondly, regarding the Sommers offspring (ew that sounds weird), Dewey fought in WWI after the Americans joined and lost his leg soon after. He was in an army hospital for months before returning home, where something happened and he and Dr. Sommers' relationship was strained. I'm not sure on what yet, but anyways, Dewey doesn't believe Dr. Sommers is actually capable of making a time machine and other things. Basically, he thinks his father his crazy. He lives on a farm with his wife Irene with nice dirt roads and fields he can go around on his wheel chair and overall it's just really peaceful. I was thinking that Dewey was also affected by the Mustard gas and stuff used in WWI and is partially blind but idk if mustard gas was used post early 1917 but it probably was.
OH AND I FOUND THIS PICTURE ON REDDIT THAT REALLY REMINDS ME OF HOW IM IMAGINING DEWEY AND IRENE AFTER WWI: Spoiler

aNYWAYS since Dewey's around 44ish if he was born in 1899, Sommer's around 65ish. Rosemary's around the group's age (25, maybe?) so she's like the whoopsie baby. Anyways, Rosie LOVES her father and believes everything he says. She's also very knowledgeable when it comes engineering and science because of her father, so she'll help with the time machine once they get to Dewey's farm. I still don't know whose car we will use for the engine though. I think Dewey will be reluctant, so Rosemary and Sommers are our best bet.
and yeah that's basically what we talked about. all of this is up for debate tho dont worry its not final. also im going to try and get a short post out pretty soon unless one of you guys wants to go next.
