We don't have a TV, but when I can catch it, I watch the Simpsons and Doctor Who. Those two shows ROCK!!! :D :D :D And there's loads of clips from them on YouTube and all, so I can watch the old episodes as well.

I love Doctor Who! What do you think of Martha? Better or worse than Rose?
There's always been a lot of tension between Lois and me, and it's not so much that I want to kill her, it's just, I want her to not be alive anymore.

Martha or Rose?

Hmm...

Well, Rose was great. I've never watched anything that had me more emotional than "Doomsday"... *sniffles*

And Martha's pretty good...I think she seems a good match for the Doctor, and I think she realizes that she's not just being brought along to replace Rose. She's curious about Rose, and she wants to find out things like Rose did....there might be some conflict over that in future episodes...I dunno, but as she seems pretty attracted to the Doctor already (how typical *sigh*) she might feel jealous that Rose will always be able to get betweeen her and him. Or maybe that's too Rose-ish, as Rose could be jealous - "School Reunion", now that was funny, seeing her and Sarah Jane fighting! - but I think they're both good.

It's a question like whether David Tennant is better than Christopher Eccleston. My little brothers all prefer Tennant cos he's funnier, but Eccleston was funny as well. He was happily rude, and Tennant's unconsciously rude...and a lot more gobby. :)

I'll have to see whether there's any really great episodes with Martha in before I make up my mind over that question. Though "The Shakespearean Code" was one of the best ones I've seen so far. Shakey is such a flirt! ROFL! You know the sonnet he starts saying to Martha at the end? I've got that in my English GCSE, so when it came on I was all like, "Hey! I know that!"

Oh dear, now I've rambled you all to death. Bad Twit, down Twit, back in your padded cell.

I really agree with you in the Martha/Rose comparison. They're both good in different ways.

As to which Doctor is better, I prefer David Tennant, which is surprising, as when I saw him first at the end of The Parting of the Ways, and we saw that grin, it was like "urgh!"

But, having gotten used to him, he's proving quite a good Doctor.

And yes, the Shakespeare one was brilliant!

Shakespeare: "To be or not to be. That is the question"

Doctor: "You should use that."

Shakespeare: [shrugs] "Hmm, 's a bit pretentious."

*snort* *goes off into hysterical laughing fit*

Ahem.

Well, yes, I suppose we need to give Martha a whole series before we can really pass judgement.

Wow, I'm a Doctor Who nerd! Whoo!

*nerd's handshake*

Yep, it's great with the Doctor quoting Shakespeare all the time and S. is going "I could use that!" And all those Harry Potter references creeping in, LOL!
What's Tennant's accent like as Barty Crouch Jr? I haven't seen GOF (if it comes to that, I haven't seen any HP films as I don't think they're that great).

Y'know, the official term for a Doctor Who fan is a "Whovian." :D

Ooh, Whovian. Sounds funny! From what I remember, Tennant's accent is his English DW accent in GOF, but, as he only has about four or five lines, it's hard to recall. I do seem to remember him having a slight twang, with some form of regional dialect, but I may be wrong. In any case, I'm pretty sure he doesn't have his natural Scottish accent.

Arrested Development (even though it's not on anymore) and Spongebob, of course. Heroes is pretty good, too, though I lost track of the series.

Lemesee

I like documentaries and there's been a slew of quality American drama series over the past few years that i enjoy

Veronica Mars
Shark
LOST (though it has lost alot of it's paceyness since the first series)
Daybreak
Prison Break
Heroes

I recently started watching House, after having dismissed it for yonks. It's excellent, though a tad formulaic.

The Wire is an excellent underrated tv show, probably my favourite. I demand you all watch it.

Shows Still Running
American Idol
The Dresden Files (Is it still running? Well, actually, I mostly like Murphy and also that really cute vampire queen, whatever her name was.)
Heroes
Life on the D-List
Last Comic Standing (And for once, it looks like I actually won't hate the host this season. AWESOME!)
Lost
Painkiller Jane (I like Jane's cute butch-ish best friend)
Survivor
Traveler
I think that's it. Probably. I mean, I watch other shows, but those are the ones I really enjoy. Even though Painkiller Jane's writers suck.

Cancelled Shows (Guaranteed to be a much longer list!)
Alias
Angel
Australia's Next Top Model (Still running in Australia, I think, but not in the US. It's like America's Next Top Model, but these girls don't ever sensor their thoughts, and they know how to throw down!)
Average Joe
The Book of Daniel
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Celebrity Mole (Screw the regular Mole, I want to see the C-listers trying to decipher the most ridiculously difficult "clues" in history to determine who is screwing up their chance to win the money for a charity of their choice!)
Charmed
Commander in Chief
Daria
Dark Angel
Flavor of Love (Well, mostly just seeing the clip of Pumkin spitting on New York and New York grabbing her and... well, you've probably seen it at least once.)
Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency (I'll tell you why. Janice Dickinson = Insanity. Insanity = GREAT TV!)
Jericho
Joan of Arcadia
Joe Millionaire (This was an evil show. I mean, first you have a bunch of girls fighting for the man of their dreams. But it turns out the man of their dreams is liar and also not rich. Also, he finds out he picked a gold-digging whore. So sad...ly satisfying!)
John Doe
Odyssey 5
Rock Star (Even though they never had any actual "rock" stars on the show unless you count Dilana or Storm Large.)
Smith
Wonderfalls
X-Files
And I forgot Daybreak. Someone else said it, so I was reminded. How could they cancel Taye Diggs?
