If I do ever reach a publication stage, I suppose I'll use my real name. I enjoy its peculiar history and have no stigma attached to it. Pen names are fun from my perspective, however, so, if I ever need to write something that I would like to make sure isn't attached to my name, I'll use a pen name.
Though, only once I've gathered enough talent that my writing patterns aren't recognizable. I'd say that using a pen name would be useless to me, if my style is too easily recognizable.
