I remember talking about Leroy Scott (that is the principal's name) at length, but not him being an apparition.

So naturally, I would love to talk about that now! Do you think he'd be the mortal given temporary powers sort of apparition? Like a tradition for principals around here that started maybe one or two principals ago so he's like a dad boomer superhero

Though alternately the image of a human principal in on the secret, running around after these apparitions sounds fun to me.

Just imagine him sternly trying to talk down a scary apparition, and then just running away to call Eli

@SirenCymbaline, I think I might have brought it up after you went offline? I just remember jumping in late because I wasn't online when the conversation was happening.

But I'm not entirely sure.

And that's definitely a funny idea! I really like the idea of the principal being apparition so we can explain why he's so understanding of how apparitions work - and how characters like Theo can go to school - but there's definitely an appeal of him being someone who has to turn to the mysteries for help.

Maybe he's a fairly weak apparition, but just really good at handling kids, faculty and parents?

I like the sound of the principal being an apparition, but yeah, just like @jaybird said, probably a weak one.

There's something sweet about the idea of him being a human but a friend to the apparitions anyway, tho. Like he's just a good guy who just wants his school to be good for everyone.

I'm not married to either idea yet tho, they both got merits

I'm all for an apparitional princible, but I love the idea of him being a normal human being who is friends with apparitions. I have the sneaking suspcion that the local apparations will need more allies...

I know you've given some updates on your post's progress on Discord, @SirenCymbaline, but how's it coming along? I thought it would be a good ask here so those who don't have Discord/don't check it much would know how things are coming along.

It has a beginning, a nice intro, and a disjointed drafty middle in the works. I don't know what do with the ending but I'mma ignore the ending for now and set this collab bit straight.

I have today and tomorrow off before I go back to work, so I'll be working on it. I'll do my best to have it done in that time but no promises
