Avery looked around from where he was reading on the bench. It was a nice sunny day and there were few clouds up in the bright blue sky. He smiled, a dimple showing.

He looked at the kids playing around on the play set. He was reminded of his sister, a sweet, nine year old girl. He smiled at the thought. She was back home with the flu. He saw two other girls sitting on a bench on the opposite side of the playground. Since he had nothing to do, he considered going to meet them, but that would've seemed awkward.

He shook his head and continued reading Vassa In The Night. It was a pretty good book so far. Captured his interest greatly.

Shay smiled as storm was talking to her about their friends who weren’t there. Shay got up and tapped storms shoulder “your it” She said giggling and she runs off.


Storm pouted when Shay ran off , she got up and started chasing after her giggling. “I’m going to get you , you meanie butt” she called after her.

Avery laughed at the girls' actions. "Kids these days." he said, shaking his head.

Shay stopped and started climbing a tall tree , “you’ll never find me” she called.


Storm ran after and looked up the tree , she sat down at the trunk and looked at Shay. “I’m not moving till you come down”

Avery continued reading, but when he saw the girl climbing the tree, worry took over, and he walked right over to them. "Kid?" he said, calling up. "I don't think that's a very good idea. You should come down. My sister hurt herself when she climbed a tree once."

Avery smiled at Shay, as she climbed off. Then he looked at Storm, who was a about a head shorter than him. "Hey, it's not a problem." he winked, "May I know your name?" he said, sticking out his hand for her to shake.

Shay gets onto the ground and looks at them both.

Storm smiles “I’m storm and this is Shay”

"Cool! I'm Ave. Avery... You're sisters?" he said, trying to make small talk.

Shay nods slightly “yea yea she my big sister” she said giggling

Storm smiles looking at Shay “yeah we are sisters”

Avery smiled at the two, "Nice." Then a drop of water - rain, it was - dropped on his nose. "Oh!" he exclaimed, brushing it off, and looking up at the sky. "It's raining!"

Soon, the clouds became dark, and rain poured out of the sky. "Oh gosh! I'll drop you both home. Follow me!" he said over the roaring sound of the rain. He ran to his Lexus and sat in, waving at the two to come inside.

Shay pouts as it starts raining , “yayyy rain” She said and starts spinning around and slips falling down.

Storm looks at Shay and shakes her head “Shay really” she said and picked her up. Storm carried Shay to his car and got in “thanks”

"Not a problem." he sighed, shaking his head a bit to get rid of the water. "You know your address I'm guessing?" Avery asked as he started the engine.

Storm nods “346 rabbitail road”she told him

Shay nods “I do too”
