I am taking a break from YWS for my mental health. What does this mean for my roleplays?
Right now, it means that my roleplays are also going on hiatus until January. I shall still be around on discord and will still check in every so often to see how everyone is doing. I am super excited to continue this roleplay, but I need to prioritize my mental health.
Now, this does not mean I'm abandoning this roleplay, or any of my roleplays, and I hope that, once January rolls around, we can jump back into the roleplay like there was no break. However, I know that that is not necessarily the case for everyone.
Thank you all <3 sorry for this hiatus, but I will most definitely be back to continue this story. In the meantime, you can continue writing any posts you were beforehand. Just poke me here, in PM, or in discord when you want to post it.
After Spider's post, we'll be at the island. I know both @Chaser and @soundofmind have been interested in writing, so how about a Paimon post after Spider's? I'll help winter finish their post and will be around in discord to help with brainstorming and things.
If you haven't been paying much attention to the discord, I've decided that Aether's Heart needs to end. Bluntly, it's been dead or dying for years at this point. This is no one's fault; it just happens. But, we're at the point where we can finish this. Consider this the new ending to the Act I of the Aether Saga.
After The Storm -They set anchor a bit aways from the shore. -there are multiple ships crashed upon shore. Large ship, what used to be beautiful and commanding ships. Look's to be part of the Royal Navy. -The shore itself is pristine. Cool gray sand that, as it gets further from the shore, turns into pale purple crystalline rocks and has an extremely tall cliffside that exposes dark gray stone with spots of red and purple gems that shine underneath -the crew splits up in two -- one to scavenge the ships they can reach to repair their ship and search for gold (and clues begrudgingly) -the other team goes to explore the shore. there's something important here, and tyri leads the way on second team. -the two teams should hopefully be not split between crew lines, to help with a bit of more teambuilding
-the clues support what they found on their ship -- they were carrying something important back to synua when bluecough spread like wildfire on the ships and killed everyone onboard. -they sent one ship to nua port to try and send word to synua about the bluecough (probably called something else at that point) while the main fleet tried to make it straight to synua but failed. -perhaps the ship they stumbled upon was that ship meant for nua port. it never made it, but a lifeboat must have. and that was patient zero for the bluecough spread on the mainland. -the treasure here comes from deep south, below synilas territory. -eventually they come across a cave that evidentally a few members of the crew escaped into after crfashing into the island. their corpses lay in the cave with some kind of artifact in the middle of the cave. -this artifact must be the ones that certain journals in the ships speak of -- the one that started the infection. -they meet back up and spider makes sure her crew goes to repair the ship while she and the original cast goes to the cave. some filler here maybe who knows -once they reach the artifact, tyri touches it or taps into it in some way
-the great lore revealTM -they're all teleported to the same location with the guy as in the beginning. this time spider is included (with, important to note, no necklace around her neck) -the place is different. time has stopped, but it's in disarray. -the old man is still there, but he's in the middle of getting stabbed by what look like a sand soldier of some kind. -Somehow impossibly, the gong of the bell is still happening, just eternally in the middle of the souind in the background. -they take a look around -some minor lore reveals here. perhaps we get a name for the town the man is in if that hasnt happened earlier (i dont think it has) -something is activated. not sure what but will brainstorm -they all get like taken out of themselves, like torn asunder and into something of an astral self. their bodies stopped moving. -the man is also outside of his body, and approaches them. -"you have reached the next step, prophects. well done." -they probably as a lot of questions here but the old man raises his hand. he doesn't have much time as he is currently dying -what they have just stumbled upon is the Aether's Heart -Aether is a being from the world before this one, a diety and ruler of the world before, when the magical, spiritual, and physical planes were merged into one. -she sacrified herself to keep the worlds from splitting apart forever by her brother, the God-King Nether, and to keep him and his essence trapped far beneath the physical plane. -But Synilans, in a joint venture with other world leaders and kept top secret, on their quest for treasures of the world before had stumbled upon her corpse and removed it from its resting place. -In their bravado, the world leaders of the present world had wanted to tap into the powers of the one before. but they knew not what they unleashed.
-The stability of the world has become in danger once more, and remnants of the old world have begun to seep outward into the physical realm. -Not only that, but there are those who are taking it a step further. They plan to revive Nether to open up the spiritual plane again after thousands of years. Doing so would reek havoc upon the world they know now, and they can already see aspects of this. -These people who have been chosen have been chosen because of some kind of connection with Aether that had been activated. -It is their goal to piece Aether back together and bring her remains back to her resting place, deep in the dead kingdom of Shurima. -It won't be easy, as the pieces of Aether has been separated across the world at this point. -Above all else, though, Nether cannot be allowed to revive.
-Before they can ask anymore of the guy, the spell of his ends and he is stabbed brutally before them before they flash back into the cave they were before. -As they're back in the cave, one of them pics up a chaotic scribbling of one of the dead people in the cave. -It's a scribbling of what looks like the heart that they now have in their posession and five other objects: a skull, a claw, a foot, a ribcage, and what looks like a coffin. -the claw looks incredibly similar to Mythica's gauntlet she wore. -with their end goal now in sight, the team glances at each other. The world has expanded, the stakes have become clear, and they are so clearly out of their depths. -what next?

Now, this is rough and basically info dumping. Things can still change as we write. But, this is the basic idea of how we end this. From this point forward, everyone gets one post. Here's our post order:

I can tell this RP was very near and dear to everyone's hearts. You all went on some amazing journeys with this and I know that just like you made it through all of those journeys you can make it through this one! You guys have got this and it will be an absolute treasure to see in the hall of fame!
