James took to eating his own meal, taking a few more bites as his mind lingered on Amy and Ari as he tried to replay through the last few days. He was desperately trying not to overthink it, but he couldn't get rid of the gut feeling that they were trying to set him up. It was an obnoxious suspicion, and he didn't want to assume, and he especially didn't want to make it something that just made things awkward. But it kept nagging him at the back of his mind.
"I do think of him as a little brother," he finally admitted after a significant silence.
