I shrugged my bag off my shoulder and threw it onto the seat beside me, headed towards the church after a long morning class. My chemistry professor, for some reason, had gotten into his head that everyone learned best by listening to him give lectures in a monotone drone, so every Monday and Thursday at 9:15 a.m. I got to listen to a glorious lesson that totally didn't make me want to hurt somebody. Totally not.

I slid my earbuds into my ears and turned up the volume, the drums and guitars and vocals of the rock bursting into my ears as the melodies and words both calmed and stoked my bad mood. If they didn't have a job for me, then my new group was in for a hell of a day putting up with me.

It wasn't a long ride, and before long, I was making my way into the warehouse, shoving both doors and people aside.
I'm the most indecisive person you've ever met, so don't expect me to figure out your life for you.

For according to the trollish philosopher Plateau, "if you wants to understan' an enemy, you gotta walk a mile in his shoes. Den, if he's still your enemy, at least you're a mile away and he's got no shoes."
