I originally have my story on google docs, should I have the link saved as a "work" so that I don't have to keep switching tabs while I'm writing, or is that not allowed?
Howdy @emolemon. I saw your questions while scrolling through the forum.
1. Unless you push a work all the way through the publishing center, no one can see it. If you're talking about your work on a separate doc, a lot of people post chapters and parts as they go along, so that's totally normal.
2. Google Docs is a bit iffy for us because if it's a personal account, your info can be accessed. I'm not exactly sure what you're asking in this case, but generally keep away from posting those google doc links. Could you explain exactly what you're asking about?
Anyways, Welcome to YWS. If you need anything else, such as a tour around site, just give me a shout. Or really anyone else in green or red.
Thanks @LadyLizz . There's this feature that allows me to send a "shareable link" so I was wondering if i could just do that, but it's okay I'll stick with two tabs. Also, I didn't really know where to stop my story for chapters so I might just stop it somewhere and label it as "Part 1" next to the title, is that alright?
The bigger the issue, the smaller you write. Remember that. You don’t write about the horrors of war. No. You write about a kid’s burnt socks lying on the road. You pick the smallest manageable part of the big thing, and you work off the resonance. — Richard Price
