The group comes to a halt in front of some large bushes. Ebony raises her sword and hacks through them. “When do we get to Tersa?” she asks Scarlet.
Scarlet shrugs. “In about half a mile, I guess.”

“So, what exactly is so dangerous about this place?” Aspen wants to impress the girls. “I mean, I’ve been to far worse places.”

Ebony laughs. “Very funny, kiddo. If I was to list all the dangers, we’d be here for a week.”
((OK guys we need to think of something to attack them))

"I'm ready."

*draws knife* "whatever danger may be lurking, I'm ready.* shouted Tom.

(How about a a manticore)
Lozan draws his bow and knocks an arrow. "What was that rustling noise?"

((Sounds good to me))
“What rustling noise?” Scarlet didn’t hear anything, but Ebony’s sharp ears pick up. “I don’t know.”

(Danni, you conduct the attack.)

There is a roar and a manticore leaps from the bushes. It lands on top of Scarlet, who screams and tries to fend it off.

Lozan shoots his arrow into its eye, then draws two deadly-looking knives and charges at it.

Aspen draws his sword and charges behind Lozan.

Hypnos gasps and lets out a muffled scream, but quickly calms down. The earth below the manticore's rear legs cracks and half of his body starts falling in while Hypnoa slowly makes the pit deeper bit alo more narrow.

Scarlet manages to wriggle out from underneath. She summons the winds to push the manticore further in.
