I happen to loooove reading SciFi, so you've got a follower in me! The best advice I have for attuning to YWS is learning to review properly, and the best way to learn that is a thing called the Review Sandwich. So it goes like:
Bun Veggies & Meat Bun
and we turn those into
Things you liked about the piece Ways the author can improve the piece in your own words. Think critically! Your overall impressions! Good, bad, reminds you of your Aunt Connie?
And that's a basic review! If you crank these out (without copying others or pasting your own onto work after work) you'll get fair points that'll let you post your own work in the publishing center for your own reviews! It's a giant circuit that keeps on giving!
