[I should like any unfortunate person who stumbles upon this to realise that this is NOT a piece of writing - well, it is in the sense, but still, it is a mere reflection. Right now the thoughts are running in my head and I really wonder if writing is good for me. Time restricts it all. That is sorry but true. So please be calm when you read this - hurtful comments are really, really demoralising to me at this point in time.]
A blank piece of paper lies on my table. I would really have liked to say it looked inviting, but i was not. I pick up my pen, and words flow. I have trouble writing, finding expressions, describing actions, but writing is a must. It is a must.
I question myself, "Do I really want to do this?" but I hear no answer. Time loomed over me like a dark cloud, and as the clock ticked I found no way to unleash my frustration except to write. As they always say, writing comes naturally, it is a form of expression that language has blessed us with, and in my head these words spin, they come to me, dubious, doubtful. I wonder - is it really so?
But masked behind this cynicism is a soul that really, truly, wishes to master the art. I want to be able to bring my words to light, let my mind be entranced by my own writing - work that is from my own hands. I want to be enlightened.
The clock ticks away recklessly, with each tick my fingers tremble, my brain stops. I reel back in fear, for my paper lies blank. Time taps me on the shoulder, fingers my face, fondles my hair. And what now - it takes my ideas, my language, my creativity away, away from me. I cannot reach it. No.
And at the end of the day, my dream, my wish, my hope is gone. My voice falters, as I hand the mediocre piece of writing to Time. Time, you must owe me a resurrection - I need that back. My mind. Don't take it away.
Yet, for all I have done, it is for Time. You gave me the power to write but you take it away everytime I need it, what use is it for me now - nothing at all! What a joke! Have you thought, ever wondered - maybe, someday, I would be sitting there completing my very own novel - one I wrote freely, with no restrictions hurling me back to reality.
That is impossible. My life, and my writing, are in the hands of Time.
