"To my understanding, they're impending on us as we speak, albeit I haven't heard nor seen one, and had it not been for their immunity to death sans time or something, I'd have probably just burned them away already so we could have fun drinking and talking like normal people." he remarks, scratching his hair.

"Another thing is that they haven't really done much to upset me or anything, so I couldn't do that anyway. Now that I think on it, what do they look like? I might get one as a pet or something one day." he asks, his tone and expression belying the legitimacy of his question.

"Probably," Chris said. "And it's a little out of the way but it's very old, so we should be safe."

Zogin pulled her gun out of its holster. She doubted it would be helpful in a fight against the enemy that was searching for them, but the feeling of the familiar weapon in her hands helped to calm her nerves. "Then let's go," she said. The sooner they got there, the better.

Maggie grins. "I like your spirit."

A TIME SKIP IT IS THEN

"Here we are," Chris says. "End of the line."

"Huh. Kinda envisioned it as more, y'know, conclusive." Sacred jokes, producing a hand coated in violet flames from his pocket and smirking deceptively.

"Well, can't wait till somethin' happens. Trigger finger's itchin'."

Soul shuddered when he saw the building that they had arrived at. He couldn't put his finger on what exactly made the building so terrifying, but something about it wasn't right. He desperately wished that the actual destination was hiding nearby, but it seemed like there was nowhere else to go.

He gulped.

Zogin seemed perfectly fine when he glanced over at her. If only he could face situations like this with the same confidence she did!
