For my novel 'Off Court' about a relationship between two tennis players, I have a really vivid idea of what the cover would be.
Léo and Camillo would be sitting on a bench at the side of a tennis court (the kind of bench you sit on at the change of ends in a tennis match) and they'd be hugging/have arms round shoulders/looking into each other's eyes/smiling in a way that made it obvious they were in a relationship.
The court would be partially in view so the reader can see it's about tennis, but the focus should definitely be on Léo and Camillo.
Léo is tall and skinny, with pale freckled skin and long, curly strawberry-blonde hair. Camillo has Middle Eastern sallow skin, being originally from Syria. He has short black hair that looks like it would also curl if it was long. He has light brown eyes. Both would be wearing tennis clothing which is probably white t-shirts/poloshirts with small bits of colour on them, as well as white shorts and white shoes.
Ideally the tennis equipment would be leaning up against the bench.
