Potentially interested (I'll have to think about it) but I just wanted to let you know that the DT isn't linked to the storybook. When I opened the main Storybook thread, the only button I saw was to "Edit Storybook" and not "Go to Discussion Topic".
I also echo Swordman's comment about knowing more about the tech (and maybe magic for merfolk?) available.

Okay the humans come from a timeline far into the future and are fighting using things such as laser guns, stun guns. There has also been technology made to allow communication between Mer and Man. Merfolk are familiar with some of Man's technology, because the two have been living together for some time, but the mermen do not use this same tech.
Mermen fight using a combination of "archaic" weaponry (such as bows, arrows, and spears) and magicks.
Honestly, you're all free to create pretty much whatever weapons and fighting styles as you want - within reason.
This looks fun. I'd like to claim the Merfolk warchief but I do have a question: is communication mostly via Discord? If it is, I'll probably have to step out.
No discord. Because I'm usually on mobile, using the site works best for me. Whenever we have profiles established both mer and man get their own DT to discuss plans and whatnot.
A little late, but seeing that the story has not begun yet, I would like to jump in here. I don't care if I am a merman or man, but I would like a position of warrior/soldier or something along those lines. If that's not possible, I can choose a second choice. *re-evaluates that last sentence and realizes it's redundant but doesn't have the energy to change it*
