V [DT]

I want to open the entirety of this extensive file by telling the next inheritor my ending and your beginning. My carnation lasted little over seventeen years before our families were taken, but in my ardor to see the breaking land and seas, I refused to leave Russia with them.

I cannot immediately tell you much about myself, but I hope that by inheriting these memories you will gain an understanding as to why I made the choices that I did, and how I absolutely adored the outcome, however lethal it may be. Just look.

The sands speckled among the acrobatic grasses. And the orchestral sound of the ocean lapping and yawning.

This is where I die. But may you remember that gorgeous yawn on the new earth.

If you want to begin our story together, W, then we will take this one day at a time.



V will be a single-MC storybook focused around a young boy experiencing his world after great clear walls that divide heaven and earth have been erected to contain the peoples of collective nations. V will require no character templates, and each entry will be no more than 1000 words. Much of his world is up to fellow writers to determine alongside one another, so do use the DT abundantly.

1. First person.
2. Past tense.
3. No backwards writing, though if you find a way to accomplish this in this storybook, I'd be dumbfounded.

So, though this storybook has only one main character, the cast will still be rounded. Organically, we will first see his family, the children and adults he considers friends or enemies; and we'll dive into each of them as their impact on V shapes him and his decisions.

For that reason, I'm essentially asking for an open roster of supporting cast.

Our first entry will drop on the 4th. I really want to use this place to ping-pong as a writers' room since we're not worrying about continuity or MC interactions. We each should get into V's head, and I want to help you do that with the notes that I have so far for the first entry.

Not long ago, an older boy he knows was defacing one of the skywalls separating St. Petersburg and the neighboring amalgam city, which we'll refer to as Astoria. The graffiti stuck with V, and read To be free, you must name your devils.

To this end, this act will carry through the entirety of the story. V suffers from insomnia. He will name it. V suffers anger beneath his father. So on. There will be plenty of time to explore his neuroses in the future.

He is amazed by the colors of living things, and while he thinks this is beautiful, he finds it sad that he cannot artistically express it well like others he knows. _____ the poet. _____ the street artist. But what I want to explore is the art of observation.

Anything beyond that is spoiler territory. ;P

Okay. V's first entry will come later today. Somewhat episodically, we're going to write our entries to be near-contiguous.

But yes, tomorrow starts Devils. I'm excited. c:
