I just realized Style is the only guy in the cast...for some reason that's bugging me XD.
And I assume this setting is sort of a walking dead-esque environment? Are there survivor settlements? and where exactly is the story taking place? any particular city of state?
No particular city/state. Yes there are going to be some survivor camps, but most are bandit hideouts. I'll give you a rundown on the different types of things out in this apocalyptic environment.
~Zombies: regular zombie. Flesh eating brain people too dumb to comprehend space and time, much less personal space. ~Hafling: these zombies are more intelligent. These guys are intelligent enough to travel in groups and to lay low. The only catch is that they are too stupid to comprehend human language, much less speak it. ~Bandits: Humans who have lost their willingness for mercy. Will kill you on sight and steal your belongings.
@mmbio I liked your post, but there are a few things I'd like to point out. First, Style isn't part of any band of survivors. He doesn't trust anyone enough to hang around them regularly. Also, he's a nomadic person who just drifts from settlement to settlement. He's never been here before so he wouldn't have known Gretchen or her brother. I do like the idea of them somehow being connected though. Perhaps they develop some sort of friendship over the course of the story, but again, Style wouldn't know who they were before that. Maybe if you want them kicked out of the group, she could get in a fight with some nameless person in her group and get the boot that way.
