@Hiraeth I meant— if we're ESL speakers, do we note that?

*Caucasian is actually a rather racist term, implying the racial superiority of white people and was first coined in the late 18th century by a German racial scientist who thought the people from the Caucasus mountains were the most beautiful and thus selected the term to racially define his type and that of his kin. If you want to know more, refer to Google or feel free to ask.

Well, I think it's confusing to call white people Caucasian since most of them aren't actually from the Caucasus, so I tend to just say "white". If it's also racist maybe I can get other people to stop doing it as well.

Anyways, I'll do this once I get somewhere I can record myself. I'm mostly concerned I'll accidentally do some sort of weird accent or voice, since that's what reading sentences tends to make me do, even though I have a weird accent anyways and people always ask me where I'm from.

Edit: Hello. I did this trying to make a joke or two regarding the sentences, but I've changed my mind about it. Have a good day.

I didn't just spend like 15 minutes listening to everyone's recordings to hear what their voices sound like, not at all. I wish I'd spotted this topic earlier so I could've contributed, but it's a bit late now.

Also, @Demeter, your accent is the best thing ever.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
— Brené Brown
