Hello everybody! Sorry if this post doesn't necessarily belong on this page (please tell me if it doesn't!), but I'm a new writer on this site, and am trying to get to know some of the writers on here. My name is DoormanDan (aka Daniel). :)

Hey there! Welcome to the site! c:

Technically this thread would belong in The Welcome Mat, but no worries! Maybe a helpful mod will stumble upon this and move it. But don't worry. c:

Hey Hollysocks (I'm replying with quotes because I couldn't see anything for individuals replies to thread posts lol). I mainly enjoy writing poems and lyrics, although I occasionally write short stories (and have attempted a few times to write a book, but never finished any of them, or even came close). I write many different genres of poetry and lyrics (fantasy, realistic, uplifting, depressing, etc), so I can't really identify my style that well. How about you? :)

Thanks! One question I do have is; is it possible to reply to individual thread posts? I had to use quotes to reply to yours only because I didn't see any other way to reply individually. :)

@DoormanDan

The easiest way to respond to posts in a thread is the big blue "Show Quick Reply" button at the bottom of the thread. Or you can use "Full Reply" right next to it for longer posts or ones that you want to use a lot of code/formatting on.

I think he meant what was a way to let a person know that you were replying to them, @niteowl!

And if that's the case, DoormanDan, tagging people is generally the best way- what we've been doing with the @so-en-so. c:
