Bjorn's Doodles and Such

The first is an emblem I did for the Nordic Council [not to be confused with the Scandinavian one] (the symbol in the middle of Jorgunmundr is the symbol of the Nordic Council). This was when the Council was still in its Nordic-phile phase. The Norse imagery and symbolism shows that




The next is a banner I did. It is entitled "Slavic Paganism":



The next is an altered image. It was the title screen of a stop-motion animation me and my friend did entitled "Pizza Ninja"

I like your work. The first one is good from what I can see, but it's a little big and hard to see the whole thing at once.

The second one is nice too. Is there some kind of meaning behind the tree? Also, the tree's colors don't really fit with the rest. The banner is bright and the tree has an old photography feel. You might want to play with brightness and contrast.

I really like the idea of the third, but the edges of the closest pizza are really rough and you can see that it used to be a different picture.

I like the first one ... it conveys power.

Thanks Gibson Girl (and yes, I know about those 'rough edges ^^;;) and thanks Firestarter. The emblem was meant to convey power. The eagle, Jorgunmundr (representing the 'cycles' of life, one could say), the tree (which Jorgunmundr and the Eagle make) was based on Yggdrasil, the world tree in Norse Mythology and paganism. It is at the centre of everything, holding in place the 9 worlds. Held in place by this Eagle/Serpent tree is the symbol of the Nordic Council (courtesy my friend-apparently it's based on some Norse rune or symbol. I've seen it around). The symbol's around that symbol basically shows the Nordic Council's spirit; a powerful and endless entity, purposing to be the centre of everything. In essence the Nordic Council is the embodiment of truth and wisdom and power, shared and invested within each member equally.

I like Pizza ninja.

Lol. Thanks Dan. Everyone loves pizza ninja. I don't take full credit for it, the idea sort of progressed between me and my friend. Of course the stop-frame was about a pizza ninja from the start Now, those pics! (I've many pictures and doodles [and such!], but my scanner is being stupid. I'll see if I can get 'em on my webcam, though the quality is gonna be crappy.

Alright, things start to get political. I hope no-one is offended, but I'd be offended not showing it! The Swastikas represent National Socialism, the politics, not the NAZI party of Germany and what they did! I can't stress this enough! The work is entitled "The United National Socialist States of America" (sometime this year)

We now enter the world of Anime! Yes, I am an avid anime enthusiast, not very many of you probably know this. (One of the first manga/anime that would come to mind when it's me you're talking about is naturally Hellsing, and you're naturally right ) Mostly because that particular fire has died down (this drawings are 2 years old, grade 9 art):

Naruto's Head(Naruto...), Luffy's(One Piece) Torso and Arms, and Manta's (Shaman King) Legs


A piece I've entitled "Konoha Elite" (Lord Hokage, Kakashi, and Naruto's instructor [can't remember name]; and Rock Lee as a Scarecrow (because he does look like one, and some random dude as a blunt (I'm not sure what else to call it...no I don't smoke it! )

Finally I'd like to end this with one of my comic strips entitled "Bruce Lee: Final Battle". I meant to make a series of Bruce Lee strips leading up to it. They were never completed. Enjoy. (Yeah...Bruce's hand in the second frame is on the wrong side...)

Ah thanks...but about that 'we shall invade Russia' part... I stand by her! While we're on the topic of Communism, here's something to maybe counter-weigh the U.N.S.S.A flag:



The flag's red colours scream 'socialist' and the maple leaf looks like a red star with some modifications... All we need now is for the NDP to win the next election!

The flag looks cool with all the swastikas.

Gandalf looks cute.

The pizza ninja has a funny concept, though the presentation should have been cleaned up as said above.
Keep at it, just remember to throw in some of your magic to make it unique! Which no doubt you do well enough.
Drawing anime I guess is a good step, it forms the basic fundamentals of bodyparts. Im not gonna dare say proportions.
