Hey guys, I just wanted to give you all a quick reminder about God modding because it seems like we have been having a problem with that lately.
For those of you who don't know, God modding is the practice of doing things with the characters of others that they did not originally intend without asking. This can involve major things like killing off a character, or sometimes smaller things when a writer makes another character do something completely off base from their personality. Anything that disrupts an intended plot line is god modding and it is not okay.
I write very closely with @Nike and @Ciblio and @AlmondEyes and I have been for years. We sometimes use each others' characters because we know their personalities and for general conversation, it's okay to make things like that up. However, whenever we make major plot decisions we ALWAYS consult each other.
We understand that not everyone can consult others days before to plan out a post and ask about using their characters, but that does not make it okay to God mod. Many of us have put our snapchat usernames in the DT so that you can communicate with us quickly and efficiently to ask about lincoln wood, use them. There is no excuse for god modding.
Furthermore, with me personally, I am happy to also give you my instagram, or my email or (if you live in the U.S.) my phone number so you can communicate with me to use my characters. I don't particularly care which avenue you choose, just ask me. The same is true with many others.
God modding. Don't do it.
And the heart is hard to translate It has a language of its own It talks in tongues and quiet sighs, And prayers and proclamations
Everyone, we need to realize that communication is key. We need to be able to talk to each other. Cause without communication, we won't know why someone is pissed about something or if we can do this one thing or not.
So please, everyone, give us a form of contact.
I hate these fights. They will still happen cause we are all sadly human, but, this will lessen them.
