I just joined this website. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for writing on here? I'm 13 and have been writing for a while, but I've never actually published anything before.. Just any tips for this website in general would be great. Thanks :)

Hi! You'll have a great time here, I'm sure. Call me EM.

Some tips:
1. We use a point system here, where you sow what you reap. To post a work you need 200 points--points can be obtained from reviewing other works. The Green Room is the place where all new works go, and if you review a work with 0 reviews, you'll get an extra 25 points regardless of how long your review is. From what I've seen, 100 words in a review=10 points. The maximum points you can get is 100 (1000 words or more), which can still be added with a 25 bonus.
2. Once you post your work, it'll enter the Green Room and leave when it gets 2 reviews. If you want more than 2 reviews, you can always go to the Will Review for Food forums to ask for more.
3. Join a club, maybe. There's a ton of them here, and you'll meet a lot of peculiar individuals there.
4. If you're interested in roleplaying, try dabbling in the Storyboards.

That's just the basics. Good luck, and waiting to see your next work!

Welcome to YWS, @amazingpinkpotatoes! Feel free to ask anyone with a red or green username if you have any questions, or you can ask me - I've been a member of this site for a year and I'm currently a retired mod, so I should also be able to help you out.

Also, I'm happy to review anything you write, if you want me to - my reviews are always honest and in-depth! :D

Was nobody else concerned about the fact the title implies YWS is a drug?

It totally is though
