The first one was released back in June, and it knocked The Da Vinci code off it's topspot (Ha!) The sequal comes out in october (or so I believe), and they both cover the 'L saga' Anyone else desperate to see it?

It stars Tatsuya Fujiwara as Light Yagami and Ken'ichi Matsuyama as L!

I hope an translation comes out soon.

Any movie with that many actors that sound like they could be camera film, automobiles, or electronics, could never beat out anything.

I <3 Deathnote! It got a bit redundant near the middle... but the end was pretty nice.

Uhh... I never knew so many people knew about this manga...
You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, instead, you should read every single book to see what every book is about before you even come close to judging its viability.

Theres also a tv show, if you dont feel like reading the pen and paper dealie.
YouTube hosts the subbed Death Note shows. Its translated up to 7 right now, follows the manga up to the dot.
