I just don't much like the idea of thoughtspeak, especially us taking it from these books and using it ourselves, but eh. I've gotta work on my characterrr... Bleh.

Haha, ok. We don't have to use thoughtspeak. I'm good either way. We can take a vote.

We don't have a way to exactly explain why the kids can use thoughtspeak anyway. The scientists were working on DNA, not brain neuron radio brain wave science stuff.
I think we should try to make it as realistic as possible unless people are interested in the concept of talking animals.
I think it would make sense for characters in animal form to be able to communicate to each other either through thoughtspeak or through animal chatter (they can talk to each other but to humans it sounds like barking, meowing, etc...) But they cannot communicate to humans through thought or speaking. Just body language as any animal would. The question with this concept, though, is whether they could talk to other normal animals or just other morphers in their own animal-morphed language. If that makes sense...

I think thoughtspeak would work best, actually, And I mean as in the animorphs books, as in direscting thoughts to each other and thus communicating. In fact, that is the only thing I recommend taking from the books. I condone taking anything else. In any case, her's my plot idea, taking suggestions from sunshine:I like where @LordZeus is going with this. Im just going to elaborate and play with it a bit.
So this can take place lets say somewhere in the distant future and tensions between countries are high.
So lets say the US stole this technology from Japan (they all seem pretty technologically advanced and have a thing for ppl trying to be animals irl)
They had got a basic formula, but before they implemented it, The US had caught wind of this tech and wanted it to create super soldiers with it. So they steal the blueprints/research before a prototype is ever built, and killed or kidnapped the scientists involved.
So they create some top secret agency to build this Morphing formula. And they do with some tweaks.
Mr. Neil is one of the scientists on this project. He uses his cover as a science teacher to use his unsuspecting students as test subjects (or even recruits?) in this project, to be the first of what they hope will become an army of super soldiers.
But the Japanese get a wind of it, and realize that since USA and Japan are enemies in this time period, the new soldiers will be used against them. So, the Japanese secret service burn down the lab and kill all the scientists that they could find in the hope of ending USA's attempt to get the edge over Japan.
Then they found out that the test had already started, and set out to hunt down and kill the test subjects, while the USA try to recover them and use their blood to continue the experiments.
And the rebel organization is watching them, deciding whether to kill them, or try to recruit them.

That wasn't really taking suggestions from, so much as copying and pasting most of the discussion points for the plot that've been agreed on. XP But it sounds cool either way.

It sounds good to me. But I want to make sure more people are okay with it before it's made official.
I think animorph communication is what is in the biggest need of opinions, though.
After those two things are decided, I think we're pretty well set!

Actually, I was the one who first suggested this plot. Other people like sunshine made other suggestions to tweak it, and so I incorporated it all including the tweaks and my basic idea with my post, hoping that it would be something that we could all work with. @Hattable
Ok then lefty, is everyone okay with the plot idea I posted above? And does anyone prefer any other kind of animal communication other than thoughtspeak?
I vote for thought speech between the animals. I have an idea relating to humans, though. What if the kids who have the abilities can thought speak to each other, human form or not, but not other humans? I think that could make sense, because they share the same genetic alterations, and it could help them work together.
I also like all the plot ideas! I'm getting so pumped for this.
Also,@LeftyWriter, I'll get my character in tonight.

@LordZeus, I meant you copied some bits that Sunny said and included them in your complete plot thingy post just now, is all.
Anyway, I should get to my character by tomorrow. Sorry I'm running a bit slow. I'm not particularly good at SBs and it's been a while since I last tried participating in one. >.>
