Just joined up on here. I'm starting out writing my second novel and always find feedback (positive or negative!) helpful and encouraging. I'm 26 years old, I have a crazy 7 year old daughter and I live in the UK.

From your mention of starting your second novel, I'm guessing that you've finished a first - if so congrats on that! What kind of genre do you like writing in?

Thank you for your reply my first novel was published on Amazon and was quite a dark story, aimed at a more mature audience. In general, my stories involve romance and a little darkness as well as a bit of humour. This time around I have gone for YA as it is a different age group to what I usually write for and I enjoy a challenge!

You're published? So am I! Sort of. Short stories published in anthologies totally count, right? So it's dark? Interesting! You should totally do a little advertising here. We love our YWSer-published novels on YWS. Heh. Romance and humour and darkness is pretty cool.

Thanks for your reply. I know, YA is new to me and so I'm a little aprehensive! I think this new story will be able to reach a wider audience (hopefully!) but it is primarily aimed at YA. It's a bit of a mystery/suspense kind of thing too.

I say I'm published, I am self-published. It was about four years ago now, the first full length story I ever did although now I know a little more in terms of creative writing and styles etc, it is most likely littered with errors :/ it's called Wherever You Will Go and it's on Amazon. Somewhere.
