I'm thinking that my main character will be a single mum of about 30. She'll be a travel writer (or something which requires her to travel a lot) and arrives in Australia as the apocalypse begins. I'd like her 13-ish son to be at home in one of the countries (I'm not fussed which). I'll write about the boy, but someone else's character will need to be connected to him somehow. It could be that they're related to his father, so have helped look after him. They could be a family friend, school teacher, neighbour. Even just a shop keeper that he could be thrown into a group with when the world goes bad, but I'd like them to have a back story. Is anyone willing to include a teenage boy in their character's life?

Also, my character is a journalist. So it could have been possible for your mother character and my own to have met up at some point and talked about her son @Dracula. I dunno about as far as what you'd like since it sounds as if the woman is American. Though maybe perhaps, I know of the child and of his whereabouts in case I was ever going to make it over to America.
My favorite soundtracks, are the ones that pull me away from every other sound.
@AndrewRayne That's a great idea! They could have easily met up at conferences, or my char could have met your char on one of her holidays. I reckon they definitely would have talked about the son, so if your char ever gets overseas... :p Thanks for volunteering!

I've finally created my two characters, though we may need to combine a few of the groups if we want to get this started as people are currently very spread out. I'm happy to adjust either of my profiles to fit another area.
Once season six starts, we have to begin this! Let's all promise to write an intro post that's at least 2 paragraphs long (shouldn't be hard). It doesn't need to have zombies in it- it could just be about your character's day at work, 'cause we are starting from the beginning.
