Knock-out championship. Randomly drawn rounds create a match between two users. Some users may receive byes in the first round. A match consists of a week-long reviewing battle. The user with the most reviews at the end of a week wins the match. This is calculated by comparing your review total at the start of the match to your review total at the end of the match. In the case of a tie, there will be a coin flip to decide the winner. If an entrant drops out, the highest scoring winner from the previous round will be reinstated. If an entrant drops out during a match, the other entrant will win that match automatically. The winner receives the adoration of his peers and a £25 Amazon voucher (roughly $38 American, or $50 Australian). The previous winner is @guineapiggirl To receive the Amazon voucher, you will need to provide me with your e-mail address. I will not retain this information. I am the judge and ultimate arbiter of any disputes about match scores and winners. Further explanations of the schedule will be posted once the number of entrants have been established. CHANGES TO PREVIOUS RULES If you entered the championship last time, there are some changes to the rules: 1. Unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes tactics such as writing reviews but not posting them until the very last minute to obfuscate your review total, and make it more difficult for your opponent to understand the size of the challenge. Such tactics will be punishable by either score deduction or automatically losing the match. I am the final arbiter of all disputes to do with unsportsmanlike behaviour and will take a very hard line on it in this competition. 2. Matches which end in a tie will be decided by coin flip. 3. Art & Photography reviews do not count. The only reviews which are counted are the same ones which YWS itself counts. Therefore, the only reviews which count towards your match total are the ones on the YWS leaderboards.

@Teacake013 This YWS Cup II is closed, the registration closed before the end of Feb. I believe, you can not come in on it, because there are 32(I think?) users that are consistent and get promoted to the next level if they win.Hope that this helps and answers your questions!
If you have anymore questions then PM @Firestarter who made this tournament become real.

OKay, so unfortunately, I'm going to have to drop out. I'll be out of town with the Boy when this is going on, so I won't be able to review. I'm so so so so so sorry.

@LadySpark Thank you for letting me know. No worries.

@Teacake013 As LadySpark has dropped out, and her match against Gravity is not due to start for 2 days, I am happy to let you enter instead of LadySpark. The previous drop-outs were in the middle of a match so it was unfair on the other person for me to insert somebody new, but this is different.

Let me know before tomorrow if you want to enter.

Score Update

These are guesses at the current scores - they may not be up to date so please do not take these as gospel. They are indicative of the rough review scores of everyone. The final scores will be accurate!

Zhia x-x ~~Juniper~~

Zhia goes through to the 2nd round as Juniper pulls out of the competition.

Widdershins 6-6 buggiedude2340

Still tied with two days to go!

PenguinAttack 0-6 Iggy

Iggy still in front, but plenty of time for PenguinAttack to strike back...

Strange 0-0 AstralHunter

Oi, @Strange and @Astralhunter Wake up and review!

Morrigan x-x ~~TheWanderingWizard~~

Morrigan goes through to the 2nd round as TheWanderingWizard pulls out of the competition.

AdrianMoon 1-0 Arkhaion

Just the 1 review between the two competitors, here. Not really got started...

meandbooks 7-5 ArcticMonkey

Bit more meat in this tie. Slogging it out with some decent scores here, meandbooks just edging it, but ArcticMonkey has plenty of time to respond.

wolfare1 27-30 KatyaElefant

WOAH! Here we go. This is a true YWS Cup bout. Huge scores from both competitors, and it would be a shame for either to go out so early with this kind of reviewing speed in their arsenal. But who will come out of top?

The mountain just keeps getting steeper xD

Bad @KatyaElefant! XD

And drat you, @Firestarter for making the deadline Saturday! Now I have to get up while it's still dark so I can review, because @TheWanderingWizard and I have a chess tournament this weekend.
