Today I discovered that it is possible to have an itch on your face even when it's been numbed so you can have some dental work done. Furthermore, scratching the itch doesn't help in the slightest, since you can't actually feel anything when you try to scratch it. It is both intriguing and extremely irritating at the same time.

Oh, it was - I couldn't feel anything for 4 hours...and they said it would wear off in 2. It's really interesting, though - it suggests that itchiness may be partly psychological...
