Yep! That's how most SBs here work, unless the creator of the storybook has decided to set down a rotation. (for instance, in one storybook we're in, we have a rotation, and it does make it slightly easier to get people to post.)

@TimmyJake The Trainer spot right now is open, being filled by a character named Devon, so whenever you want to join something can easily happen where he goes missing and we find you to fill in his role - or you can just take over the character as he is.
Wait... the Trainer is now open? I apologize for being swamped with school and having to skip YWS for the week, but is there any way my character can remain in that spot? I've finally jumped ahead on schoolwork so I could work on SBs.
@Reisepiecey, whatever spot is open - just give it to me. If the trainer is open, then suuuure. If not, then maybe I can just make a character when everything settles in?

Edit: also, thinking about what Eska said, do you think it would be a good idea to set up a rotation based on the first round of posts? And if someone say, doesn't post for a three-four day period, then we move onto the next person? My experience of rotations has only been good.

@reisepiecey What do you want the relationship to be between the apprentice and the Trainer? Like, what were you thinking her job could be? I just wanted to be certain of what you had in mind before I posted.
@AfterTheStorm Uh just a teacher x student relationship as a base. Since I'm controlling Devon right now, we can work out their relationship together. And then, whenever @TimmyJake comes in, you can work out that duo.
Her job would mostly be training and working on the kids on Kurai that are around her age. She's in charge on training the younger kids, so they answer to her for now and she answers to the older people. If that makes sense.
