Goodness, notifications.

I'm kind of busy at the moment and will stay for a while, and I can't post anytime soon - nor, for that matter, say for sure whether I'll have time later or not. That said, though, I'd prefer my character not used in any way, including getting killed. She hasn't interacted much with anyone except her sister, as much as I know, so you guys can simply ignore her and I can remove the profile. Or you guys can simply ignore her and I can leave the profile and quite possibly return again once I'm back home and no longer with some kind of duty and generally just focused on procrastination from uni again.

nah I'll just have you guys not make it to the surface, and leave it at that. That way if any one of you do come back later on, you'll have cool backstory to work with.

I've finally finished my profile. I'm just waiting for you to approve it.

And with my post, we have entered the second part of the storybook. The cool part. With monster hunting and epicness and stuff. I'll give directions and more information as soon as I have time to gather my thoughts.

alright cutlery, here's the deal.

You guys are on the surface. You've been told since birth it's dangerous -- hell, Abdiesus knows it's dangerous, he can tell you -- and you don't know what to do. Food for thought, in your next posts: your characters have to pretty much reevaluate their lifepath. They're in strange lands with no direction. What do they do?

I'll tell you. Diesus is going to lead them to the hunter's tunnels. This will happen in megs' post, who is posting next. You'll be attacked by a bunch of aberrations along the way. In steps Aranka, who saves them. She also, after discussion, brings them to her camp. She's familiar with the area, but has no room to host you all. You're going to have to find food, building material, all that stuff.

To this end, I am going to give you all a grid-based map, essentially Aranka's knowledge of the area. It will show known watering holes, animal trails, places where monsters like to hang out, all the good stuff. Once this happens, I am giving you freedom to post. Up til now, I've been pretty controlling. After you're shown the map, it's up to you to take care of your character's basic needs. Think of it as side-quests. There is still a main story, fear not, and we'll return to that shortly. Use this time to get to know your characters, and those of the others, better.

As for setting information: there are tall grasses, low-lying brush, occasional clusters of taller trees, and boulders lying around haphazardly, fallen from rock formations protruding above ground.

Let's get the ball rolling you guys. I'm ready to go!
