Adventures of an Amature Photographer

So here's my first day out with my new camera =D

These are my pets. They're pretty low maintenance in this state, but since I still don't know what species they are I have no idea how long it will take for them to hatch.

Then I went stalking critters in the park. It was like being on a miniature Safari!

That first shot is really good. The contrast of the red with the grey.

It's a Nikon colourpix L820, which is a bridge camera? I don't know what that means, but it does some pretty cool stuff when I press all the buttons.

Cool. I have Coolpix L120
A bridge camera is something that falls between a DSLR and a simple point blank cameras. DSLR(Digital Single Lens Reflex) are the kinds where you can remove the lens and they are professional ones.
You can take some really amazing pictures with your gear. The close-up option is definitely my favorite. As L120 doesn't have manual zoom I have to make do with close-up.
