The sun rises, and with it, tranquility. While none are capable of finishing one off, the Shades melt back into the dark dimension whence they came, ceasing their attack with the same rapidity they had begun it.
The pangs of hunger start to manifest.
Meanwhile, Audy and Alpha fall down what seems to be an incredible depth, roll, tumble, fall into water, get dashed against rocks, almost drown, and are finally washed upon unforgiving dirt, to reveal…. spiders. Lots and lots of spiders. They don't seem to spot the two yet.

Lumi, frustrated with his inability to kill his assailant during the night, stomps to a nearby bush and robs it of berries, consuming one to keep his stomach from roaring.

Alpha strikes the stalactite with an incredibly powerful blow. It shatters into small pieces, raining death onto the spiders, which are crushed. The whole cave rumbles ominously. Perhaps she shouldn't do that again…
Audy, conversely, faces an issue. The spiders lash back violently, and while she does manage to crush one, three more overwhelm her. They march onwards, ready to consume their newfound prey.
alpha gains 20xp! alpha levels up! alpha is now at lv 5! alpha learns force shield (defensive spell/consumes 2mp every turn)!
audy is at 4hp. spider 1 is at 7hp. the other spiders are undamaged.
omnibus and lumi collect the berries. fiend observes no signs of illness in judas, on the contrary, he starts feeling hungry.
"is that it?" the stranger retorts to lost. "i save your ass and all i get is a "what's your name? no thank you? oh well. my name is jeannah. yours?"
the goblin faces a dilemma. "edge betrayed master by helping the stranger… but the shade would have eaten edge had he not fought the shade… helping the stranger! master will be displeased, but what can edge do?"
leah spawns with a bow (long range, regular damage) and a quiver of 20 arrows.
oh and guys, the length/width of your hp bars is purely figurative unless otherwise noted. Most of you have 10hp.
