What would you do if you became a famous author?

Its a very interesting question I feel.
I would do two things
1. Go into book stores and just start signing copies of my book or books.
2. I would go on fan sites about my books and make posts fan fiction about what the next book is going to be (Surprise them how I write just like well myself) and then weird everyone out when I am right.

What would you do? Just curious
Mickey was just an average Joe, a gentle hearted soul being praised for his brutality.

I would cry and pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

And then I'd faint. *nods vigorously*

Live life and try to avoid fans. o.o
Life works in funny ways sometimes. Some get hurt, others go through without a single bruise. I could tell so many stories of how I got each scar that is scattered across my flesh.

Go to College, buy a Bike, try and avoid rabid fans, save some money, buy a house, and free book signings. Not particularly in that order.

Hah, I would do the fanfiction thing as well just for the fun of it.
The other thing I would do, would be to simply continue writing. Just because something was successful, it shouldn't go to my head that I'm set for life, or that I've accomplished some grand plan. I write for the enjoyment.

I would love my fans and sign books for them and laugh evilly as I kill their favorite characters in cold blood and cause my fans to riot against me. *cackles*

I would see what people think and then do a hateful little plot twist just to see what they do

Apart from writing on, I would open a school - or at least, be the one who finances and owns the school, while the ones working in it would probably have to have some sort of qualifications I don't have. A school for young writers - more specifically, a writing equivalent of School of Applied Arts and Design (which was my high) - because I think all those young talents out there deserve it, and surely there's more kids who'd want it just as much as I did..

I would refuse book signings so that my signature continues being worth something, offering a few copies of said book for sale at a minor mark up or more if I can get away with it and use the funds to finance several projects such as my idea on how to re-vamp the education system, my idea on how to make touchable and feel able holograms, or maybe not because both of those projects would cost more then I could hope to make as a writer of any level of fame.

Hm.....I shall start designing self-sufficient housing, make a building complex in cities that covers its cost so well that it could possibly handle payments of 25 bucks per apartment and still function.

Well, for a start, eat my hat. XD

But, realistically, I would have to say:

1) Do not get distracted by publicity and instead go for writing
2) Only interview when necessary
3) Accept awards but no bragging; I am a writer, and not a celebrity

Then I'd take up digital arts,
or spend more time sketching,
or start studying law and spend my time as a rights activist -
Basically, since I already have one thing I wanted, I'll go for the rest.

Oh yes, I'd say a lot of over inspired things to be jotted down by other and immortalized as quotes. :P

Like I don't already basically do this, just with my beta readers.

I'm so so sorry. I swear I actually do love you all.

Use my influence to achieve world domination.
Hahah....haha.....ahahaha.

What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.
— J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
