I remember worlds I once loved.
Days would go by as I dreamed.
I longed to break away from what was real,
And be with my melancholy fabrications.
Words became land,
Characters became souls,
And Life became songs of the earth.

The burdens of humanity
Have all but consumed me
But, perhaps, there is a hidden haven,
Deep within my Heart somewhere,
And I need only find it.

That was really good.

I really enjoyed it. The use of imagry (like, "words become land") really spoke to the way I feel, or the way writing makes me feel. I'm glad it didn't ryhme. Some things need not to ryhme. Coolio!

the aliterations were also very nice.
