Headmaster Arcaeail Ignatis

Return to The Witnesses

Creator: NPC
Roleplay: The Witnesses
Nickname: Headmaster

Name: Arcaeail Ignatis
Subject: Headmaster of the Academy
Age: 58 years old
Class: Griftomage 1st Class (started tuition at the age of 8 ); Witness 2nd Class

Race: Human
Appearance: Being a Grift, Headmaster Arcaeail (known to his few remaining friends as Archer or Cale) doesn't like to stay with one appearance for long.
He is 5' 9" tall, and can thus change into most of his students or colleagues (which he does often)
However, his true appearance is that of an aging man, with his once almond-colored hair now turning a dark grey, and a normal length yet think beard gracing his face. His face is also weathered, and his sky blue eyes are seem wearied by the years he has lived.
Arcaeail usually wears tawny-colored coats with intricate pattern work along the edges over his shirts (as was custom in his home village, before the realm he came from was broken off from the Gateway) Over this he usually wears the scarlet sash of Academy Headmaster.

Personality: Arcaeail is what one would call a mischievous individual. Being a Grift has allowed Arcaeail to continuously be this humorous and mischievous Headmaster admired by most of the students.
He is, however, a fairly lonely person, having trouble connecting or revealing himself to others. This has made him seem melancholic most of the time, which he usually tries to hide by making others laugh.
He is also intelligent, and with his natural magical aptitude, he makes for a powerful mage (some people still don't think he's a Grift due to his skill at magic)
(Note- His wand is Rowan wood, with a Thurisaz core and Gebo pulse rune. It is fashioned almost entirely straight, with only the handle being a slightly different texture. It is 11 and a half inches long
His wand)

Opinion on the War/Adjudicators: Arcaeail despises, nay hates anything or anyone associated with the Adjudicators. Not only were they the reason his home realm was broken from the Gateway permanently, but his wife and his Son, Olivia and Thioen, were killed by Adjudicators when they came to capture Arcaeail and torture him.
He staunchly protected the Academy against four major onslaughts by the Adjudicators, which is also where he fell asleep during the Tolling (beside the large fountain at the entrance to the Academy)

I say Wolf, for all wolves are not of the same sort; there is one kind with an amenable disposition – neither noisy, nor hateful, nor angry, but tame, obliging and gentle, following the young maids in the streets, even into their homes. Alas! Who does not know that these gentle wolves are of all such creatures the most dangerous!
