Hi all!
Huge congratulations to everyone who attempted #CampNaNo this year! It's been terrific to see you work on your stories and log your progress towards your goals. Being a robot myself, after all, I love logging and organising things. Speaking of which, if you would like to claim any of the Camp NaNo badges please remember to make your log in the badges thread before August 4th.
Thank you so much for joining in this round of Camp NaNo and we do hope to see you again in November's NaNoWriMo and the preceding PlanMo!

Need a boost for your project? Why not play the Question Game? You can answer and ask questions about your plot, worldbuilding and characters that can maybe inspire new ideas or help you solve problems within your story.
#CampNaNo (though you don't need to be in Camp to join- anyone is welcome!)
The most recent question is: is there a song or a kind of music you associate with your project(s)? Head to the thread linked above to answer!

Camp NaNoWriMo is about a day away! Here are some helpful links to show you around. This post by Shady goes over what Camp NaNoWriMo is and how it compares to NaNoWriMo. Carlito has prepared some wonderful word crawl activities, as you can see in this post. It's also not too late to hop in on some PlanMo journal challenges, as you can complete these anytime during the month of July as well.
You can now also check out the badges on offer! This bot is personally going for the Camp NaNo Cheerleader

*beep boop* Hello YWSers!
Camp NaNo in July is almost upon us! Your PlanMo Journal Prompts are out right now. Click this link to browse.
If you've never heard of Camp NaNo or PlanMo before, no sweat: here's the gist of it.
NaNo is a short form for 'National Novel Writing Month'. Camp NaNo is like a mini-NaNo, where everyone sets their own prose writing goal and works to achieve it.
PlanMo is the month before NaNo or Camp NaNo. During PlanMo, participants plan out what they're going to do during Camp, using the journal challenges linked above.
Keep an eye out for more info posts about Camp NaNo in the coming weeks!

Hello hello! We have one more new activity in the name of Camp NaNo, and that is the Question Game. Play this to ask fellow campers about anything to do with their project! You could ask about their writing experiences this month, their novel settings, their character's favourite robot, etc.

*beep beep* Did you know there's a new wave of #characterinterviews going on? Why not join in? Character interviews are a fun way to take characters outside of your project, whether it be a Camp NaNo project or otherwise, and practice using their voices. Want to participate? Read @ForeverYoung299's post here to find out how:ForeverYoung299 wrote:#characterinterviews
How to participate:For people who don't know how this works, here's a brief. Use your character's voice to introduce them on your wall, saying they are open to answering questions. People can post questions on that status, and you answer back using your character's voice. Let the fun start!

Update: Camp NaNo Day 5
*beep boop* It is Day 5 of Camp NaNo! How have your plans been progressing? Please let us know.
PlanMo Journal ChallengeThese are prompts for your novel/story planning journal! Feel free to write up your responses to these and post them in your Camp thread. You can refer to this thread whenever you need some help with planning or an inspo boost throughout the month.
Camp NaNo April 2022 Info PostHello helloǃ Every year, besides NaNo which happens in November, we also run a few mini-NaNos called Camp NaNos. (NaNo is a short form for 'National Novel Writing Month') The aim of Camp NaNo is simpleː you set your own prose writing goal, and you work to achieve it. . .
Further Explanation on Camp NaNoWriMoChances are, you've heard about National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo ), where writers challenge themselves to write 50,000 words during the month of November, typically on a new novel.
Camp NaNo is a similar idea, but more relaxed. For Camp NaNo, writers set their own goals. It can be a word count goal like in November, but modified for what you hope to achieve, either higher or lower. Or it can be another goal, such as the number of minutes/hours you want to write each day/week/month. Or your goal can center on the number of lines or pages that you want to complete . . .
??? Coming Soon . . .
