Hey, everyone! :D If anyone is interested in joining a SB, I'm apart of one that could still use a couple more people. It's about dragons and is based on the Inheritance Cycle.

Here's link if anyone wants to check it out. ;) Dragon's Flight

  • I wasn't tagged, but I really want to do this one so I don't care. :D #booktag

    1. What is your favorite book(s)?

    Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
    Elfhunter by C. S. Marks

    2. Who is(are) your favorite author(s)?

    Brandon Sanderson
    Tolkien
    J. K. Rowling

    3. What book made you laugh a lot?

Thief's Covenant by Ari Marmell (this book is hilarious)

    4. What book made you cry a lot?

Ravenshade by C. S. Marks (this is the last book in the trilogy and it made me cry at the end more than any other book I've read)

    5. What is an over-hyped book that you really don't enjoy or have heavy criticism for?

    Twilight by Stephenie Meyer >_>

    6. What are your book recommendations?

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson (I will never read a book series better than this one. If you like original magic systems, mind blowing plot twists, fantastic characters, and effortless writing, this is the book for you.)

Elfhunter by C. S. Marks (High fantasy, think LotR. Recommended to anyone who is a fan of elves.)

Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson (Another Sanderson book so it's automatically amazing.)

Shadowcry by Jenna Burtenshaw (This isn't one of my favorites, but I had to include because I feel like this book is so underrated. I absolutely love the setting and this book has been a huge inspiration for my current novel.)

    7. What was the best book you read in 2016

I honestly didn't read very many books last year and the ones that I did weren't all that great. But if I had to choose it would have to go to,

The Chosen by Chaim Potok (It was decent.)

I tag anyone who wants to do this. :D

  • I was tagged to do this by @Mage and I'm so excited to finally do it. :D Here we go. #fivereasonstosmile

    1) I've finally discovered writing goals that work for me! Since I've started, I've already finished one book and I'm in the process of outlining another. It's so exciting to be productive for once with goals that I know I can achieve. ^_^

    2) I finally got something that I've really been working hard towards for awhile. I'd rather not share what it is, but it definitely is one of the things that makes me smile. ;)

    3) My cat is a wizard. No, seriously. Right before I go to bed I like to say good night to her, so I go pet her on the couch--or wherever she's laying. Then I go to my room and shut the door. I brush my teeth, climb into bed, open a book, and hear a meow from under the bed. MY CAT JUMPS UP ON THE BED AND LAYS DOWN NEXT TO ME. HOW? I shut the door right when I went to bed and saw her moments before on the couch. She's done this twice now and I honestly can't figure out how she does it.

    4) Sad animes. ;-;

    5) And lastly, fantasy. This might sound a little ridiculous, but I think the whole fantasy genre has made a huge impact on my life. It shows the journey of a hard fought battle and the light at the end. It shows the impossible becoming the possible. And it inspires me and gives me hope more than anything else. <3

    I tag @KAL @sapphireluna and @Carina , if you guys haven't already done it of course. :D

deleted868 Thanks! I'll do it soon!

Obscura Read your review on Voices of the Ice Ch 1 and most of my critiques were copies of yours basically XD (to be fair, I read your review after I did mine) but that speaks wonders of how well you're reviewing! I've been looking at a lot of things to review, and lo and behold a certain person has already reviewed most of them! XD

  • #10thingsaboutme Yay! :D

    1) My favorite things ever are elves. And by that I mean Tolkien elves, not Santa elves!

    2) My favorite books series ever is Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson.

    3) Sad/depressing/tragic stories are the best kind. (This is probably why all my stories involve lots of death, mental illness, and downright depressing situations. xD)

    4) I like cats more than dogs, but I like puppies more than kittens.... It's okay, I don't understand either. >_>

    5) I am Bisexual.

    6) My two favorite movie series ever are LotR and Harry Potter. Don't make me choose!!! ;-; They're both so good.

    7) Besides wanting to be an author, I would also love to be an actress.

8.) Orlando Bloom is adorable. <3333

    9) I have a thing for Sirius Black and Snape.

    10) I guess you could call me a late bloomer. I've never been into dressing up or pretty colors, but I'm starting to realize how much I really do like those things. I'm letting my nails grow out, I got a pair of boots, and I'm suddenly interested in how my hair looks. Plus purple is now one of my favorite colors. Oh well. ;)

Hey, everyone. o/ I've been thinking about starting my own SB, but I'm afraid not very many people will join it. xD

It's going to be a fantasy with magic, elves, etc. It might actually end up being a LotR roleplay based on Frodo failing to destroy the ring and now Sauron has taken over. I haven't decided yet, but if anyone might be interested in that kind of thing, please comment below!

    Thanks. :D

crossroads Do it! Especially with fantasy SBs, there's always a high chance you'll have more people join than you'd even know what to do with :) Besides, you never know; that sort of SB might be exactly what someone you haven't even met yet is waiting for.

The alternative dystopian LotR sounds really interesting! I'd personally be more interested if it wasn't a LotR fanfic but rather a world of its own, though, that the participants of the SB can build upon together. It could still have basis in Tolkien's fantasy, for example in the variety of races you'd allow the characters to be, but I'd like it better if the story itself (te villain winning, the prophesised hero failing, maybe?) was something totally new and made-up.

Then again, that's just me :p Others might disagree. Bottom line is, if you want to do it, go ahead, and feel free to message me if you need any help setting it up or whatever ^^

    Jan 16, 2017

EvangelineFire Oh wow, thanks for the awesome reply! :D I'll definitely take what you said into consideration, but I kind of have my heart set on a great LotR fanfic idea that I have, haha.

Regardless of what I decide to do, however, thanks for the encouragement. ;) I'll definitely message you if I need any help.

Well, everyone, I finished my outline for my new novel a few days ago and I plan to start writing it very soon. As public humiliation is a good motivator, I just wanted to post this for everyone to see so I'll be more determined to finish the book. xD

My goal is to have it finished by the end of January and I'll be posting then to say if I completed it or failed. I think this one is a winner and I'm really excited to start. :D

    Wish me luck! <3

    Mageheart Good luck! ^_^
