    Harry Potter is one of my favorites series. I have read each book 3 times but there are still some things I don't like;
    Lack of character development.
    Good vs Bad theme
    Cliche Villains
    And can anyone tell me why Voldemort was doing what he was doing? Like seriously, don't give me some "he's evil so that's what he does." or "He hates muggles so he wants to kill them all"

    Mea Ahem I will argue with you all day about the character development. :P As a matter of interest, which character(s) are you talking about?

    Voldemort does what he does because he wants power. It's a bit simple, but he is basically supposed to be Hitler. Considering he's a half-blood himself, at least part of his rhetoric about blood purity is just a way to gain supporters and such. The other part of it probably stems from his hatred of his Muggle father for leaving his mother before he was born.

    steampowered Voldemort shows us how love is a fundamental part of being human. Having been conceived under the effects of a Love Potion, Riddle was unable to love. So he had the human weakness of a lust for power without being held back by emotion.

    Tagging @AdrianMoon in case they want to add anything to this. ;)
