About Inflicted

My mother was very pregnant on the Halloween of 2001 when she went into labor. She spent 2 crucial painful days in labor then finally had me. I spent the first few years of my life glued to her in awe for she was a hero to me, and still is. After that though I begun school, so I was off reading everything I could get my hands on; I remember my hands feeling the pages and smelling the old books when i was about six. Don't ask me why i did, but I did and it, I'm not going to lie, loved it. So now I try my best at home, school, and at my passion of writing.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
