Hi, this post is for all those who have commented on my Nightshade stories in the past:
@vampricone6783
@foxmaster
@Horisun
@yosh
@DreamyAlice
@KateHardy
I was going to write a sequel to Nightshade's Reunion, but use it as a way of explaining more about the characters and world as a whole. However I wasn't sure what to write about. I'd really appreciate it if you have any questions about my characters or the world they live in so I can make them clear in this next story. (it'll also serve as a way to help me practice informing the reader without it seeming like exposition)
So thanks in advance for the help! Also, if you have questions about any of my other writing feel free to ask.

Just giving a quick update. I've finished publishing all the Nightshade stories I planned on for now.
Now I'm going to start posting the Chapters of my book.
(also I am proud of my recent Nightshade stories and you can get a lot of points for reviewing them so I hope you give them a read)
-
I've recently written a set of three stories "An adventure with Nightshade" Read "The Choice" first to get the premise and a description of the choice you make by reading one of the other two stories. Feel free to read them all. They are my favorite character development stories I've written so far.

Hi. I was just posting this in case anyone saw it and had read a few of my stories.
I've been posting short stories and side stories from my main book that I'm writing, but I was considering posting my book here and editing it as I go along. I'm just debating whether to keep posting short stories to improve my writing or to start posting my book to get feedback on it.
I want to post my best work when I post my book and I'm not sure if I'm quite there yet in terms of my writing.
If you've read a few of my stories and think I should spend a bit more time refining my technique or that I'm good as is please let me know.
IcyFlame I think post whatever you want most feedback on! Your book doesn’t have to be perfect before you post, that’s what we’re all here to help you with <3
There’s also no rule that you can’t post both the short stories and the book!

Hello, super belated welcome to the site! May I ask, is your profile picture Sarkhan from Magic the Gathering?
dragonight9 Yes it is! One of my favorite characters and one who's passion for dragons I can relate to wholeheartedly. I really love the description of one of his cards: Sarkhan's triumph where it says. "Sarkan gazed on the world around him, the dragons sweeping through its skies, and joy kindled like a fire in his soul."
Oh! it gave me chills the first time I read that.

Hi dragon! Welcome to the wonderful world of YWS. I hope you're enjoying it so far! I thought I'd stop by and leave a few review tips since it's one of the best ways to get involved with the community.
How to Avoid Review Spam is a great resource for avoiding Review Spam - I also recommend these two resources - YWS Critique Sandwich and Review Templates - giving an interpretation and then pointing out specific areas they can improve on is always a great place to start.
Another place to check out if you haven't already is the YWS Welcome Mat it has a quick run-down of some of the rules for YWS as well as resources for getting started. If you need any help finding your way around feel free to reach out to myself or any moderator!
Best of luck in your writing endeavors!
dragonight9 Thanks for the advice! It really helped. I was wondering though, is there any way to see how many times your work has been viewed? I just want to see if people aren't seeing my work or just not reviewing it so I can try a few things to get the most feedback I can.

alliyah Hey there actually is a way to view how many times your work has been viewed!Click your work, then above the star icon you should see a little button that has three vertical bars, click that and it'll break down who has seen your work. Sometimes posting a link to your work on your wall also gets a few more views, especially if you mention on your wall what type of feedback you are looking for. You can also try trading reviews with someone on the site to get some extra reviews.

Hi and welcome to YWS! I'm Mage. If you have any questions about YWS, let me know!
(And if I'm ever not online, junior moderators, global moderators and admins definitely would be able to help you out with any questions or concerns you have. Other YWSers would be happy to help you as well!)
Before you get settled in, you might want to swing by the rules thread to see what's allowed on the site, and the FAQ thread to figure out how the site works. It explains a lot about the basics of the site, like how to post your works and how to get points. It was really useful to me back when I first joined the site, so hopefully it'll be just as useful for you!
Some fun areas of the site you might want to learn more about are the forums, blogs and Roleplay Section. The forums have fun games, writing activities, and places to talk about whatever writing project you're working on. The blogs aren't used as much as the other sections of the site, but you can post little life updates there. And the Roleplay Section is a place to collaborate on stories—either by roleplaying or co-writing novel-style stories.
I hope you enjoy your time on YWS!
dragonight9 Thanks I am excited to get involved with this community.

Just checking out this site and posting a few stories while looking for feedback to improve my writing. I got a lot of positive feedback from friends and family but I wanted a bit of constructive criticism as well.
alliyah You definitely came to the right spot! If you like writing / reading about dragons you might enjoy @Shady's current ongoing novel by the way! Welcome!

Sorry for not posting for a long time and I probably won't be able to be on the site for a while again but I'm going to start posting chapters of my book again. I've just posted the next one and I hope you enjoy but please read the prologue if you haven't as it provides context.
