sapphirewednesday Well, for some people writing comes slow. You just have to find what's write with you. For me, any poem I write in over 10 minutes comes out awful. It's just what you're able to do. Get to know yourself for the best writing.

Thanks for the critic though it's a free verse poem much like the Odyssey it isn't intended to rhyme it's intended to have an underlying flow a rhythm if you will.

Snoink Haha! For a while, I was considering going into geology or gemology. Fortunately, my sister took that area, so I'm in the biological sciences now. And, I think I am way too enthusiastic because of sleep deprivation? Whatever. College is a lot harder than it looks, lol.

Snoink Haha! Maybe not. It's really hard to get used to new situations and stuff! I mean, it can be fun sometimes, but I think a lot of times it would be absolutely terrifying. Plus, you have to face issues in your life that you've never really had to face before... seriously anyway.

sapphirewednesday Yeah, it's realllllly hard for someone like me dealing with the fact that I'm a lesbian in ninth grade because some people are really arrogant and bullies and some people don't accept me, but I have to deal with it. It's my life-style and coming out is my choice.

Snoink Yeah, I understand! My best friend is bi, so it's really difficult for her too. The trouble with homosexuality (I mean the perception, not the actual condition) is that when people hear the word "homosexual" they immediately latch on to the whole "sex" part, and let's just face it... we each have our own thoughts about sex, as far as what attracts us and what doesn't, so when we hear about people who are attracted by different things (in a sexual manner!) is that we can often do double-takes or think the other person is weird or something. I don't know if you've read this, but in "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen, the main character, Elizabeth, is disgusted by the choice of her best friend, as far as husbands go, and she's like, "WHY DID YOU MARRY THAT LOSER?" Because SHE would never marry that guy. And that's a hetereosexual relationship! Just think about how much more crazy and weird people would be toward homosexual relationships, LOL.

How are you coping, if you don't mind me asking?

sapphirewednesday Well, to tell you the truth, I just began becoming okay with it. I've always known, deep down but when i first started accepting it, I felt alone. Really alone, because none of my friends were like that and I felt like a total freak. I started telling them one by one, and just yesterday i told one of my strait friends. She told me that for the past two years she's been bi and so we started talking. It was SOOOO nice having someone there that understands me. Not only that but she wants to go out some time. So just today, it got better. So much better. So so much better. hahaha

Snoink Yes! It is good not to feel alone, lol. I know that I am the straight one for my friend, so no relationship and whatever, but that just means that we can do stuff as friends and we totally hang out with each other. It's fun.

Also! You're never alone, do you hear?! Maybe in high school at first, because teenagers are weird creatures (well... in my experience... I'm sure you're fine!) so it's a bit difficult.

I'm glad your friends are willing to support you and stuff! That's the way friendships are supposed to be.
